Viper Handy
$395.00
The Viper Handy blade is made from Magnacut. This a special steel formulated by Larrin Thomas of ‘Knife Steel Nerds’ fame. Larrin is a steel Metallurgist by profession. Magnacut is designed for toughness and edge retention properties
HRC 60-63. So a notch harder than average knife blade hardness – being 55 on the softer side to 58, so 60-63 equates to longer edge retention. The magnacut steel comes into play here.
If you like a smaller/lighter knife and increased edge retention capabilities then the Viper Handy is an excellent choice. The knife measures 180mm in total length. Blade is 80mm. A drop point shape design with contoured handle scales makes for a very comfortable grip. There is gimping on the top edge for thumb/finger grip when in use. The full tang blade tapers at the back end for excellent balance. It has a lanyard hole and comes with a Kydex sheath configured for ‘scout’ or horizontal carry. The knife snaps securely in place. Designed by master Fabrizio Silvestrelli. The Viper Handy weighs 115 grams and 180g total with the sheath. plus a 2 year warranty.
