Beware of cheaper parallel imports – they will look exactly the same, box and all. But the premium Rowan heat treat and steel will be inferior.

The Esee JG5 is made from 1095 carbon steel. With the Rowan premium heat treat this is a tough blade.This is not a stainless steel. It requires a little more care to prevent oxidation (rusting).
The blades are coated to minimize this but it is advisable that after use you clean it and put away dry.

HRC 55 – 57

The Esee5 is a heavy duty knife. Created to withstand just about anything. Overall length is 275mm, the cutting edge of the blade is130mm. The blade spine is 6.6mm thick.
The 3D G10 Micarta Handles are tough as and looks great as well. There is a ‘skull crusher’ at the back end of the full tang with a lanyard hole as well. Weight is 482 grams… nearly half a Kg.
The Kydex sheath has a steel clip for quick detach if needed. Here is the doozy guarantee…
